Submission Guidelines

We are particularly interested in work that relates to a sense of spiritual life, ecology, and community, but we welcome submissions of all kinds that reflect one's unique stories. We accept poetry, short fiction, essays, memoir and other creative non-fiction, as well as visual art. We also invite proposals for interviews and featured musicians. We accept work from cis women, trans women, and nonbinary people.

Along with our quarterly magazine issues, we are looking for submissions of writing, music, and visual art for our new blog space on a continual basis.

Themes and Submission Deadlines

Each issue of Cordella has a broad theme. We encourage submissions that relate to the theme on some level, but this is not a requirement for publication. Upcoming themes and deadlines are as follows:

Issue Nine: Make Known

Submission Deadline: December 1, 2017

Publication: February, 2017

Issue Ten: Undo

Submission Deadline: March 2, 2018

Publication: May, 2018

Submission Process and Compensation

To submit work to Cordella Magazine, please send your documents to us through submittable. If your work is accepted, we will ask you to send a photograph of yourself, but please do not include these with your initial submission.

Due to the large amount of submissions we receive, it may take us awhile to get back to you. Please give us up to one month to respond!

You are welcome to contact us with any questions!
